About three years ago, my physician diagnosed me with high HDL cholesterol – the “bad” kind of cholesterol.  Since that day, I have been prescribed medication upon medication upon medication.  It got to the point where it was affecting my quality of life, between running to pick up prescriptions to having to remember to take the medication.  To top that off, my cholesterol was barely affected by all of the medication.  I decided to try some alternatives.  I consulted a holistic specialist, who told me that Omega 3 was the answer.  Eight weeks later at four capsules a day, my quality of life has vastly improved, and so has my cholesterol!

Skin Problems

Six months ago, I suddenly started feeling constantly fatigued and chilly, and my skin became unbearably dry.  Concerned that I had somehow contracted mono, I paid a visit to my doctor.  After a few tests, she diagnosed me with hypothyroidism, and told me that if I didn’t treat it, I had an increased risk of heart attacks and strokes.   My doctor recommended thyroid hormone pills.  Given my general state of fatigue, however, the side effects sounded as though they would be more than I could have handled, so I started seeking different options.  I tried Omega 3, and it worked wonders!  I’m back on my feet and more energetic than ever before.  Now I don’t go a day without it – I love Omega 3!

Alergic

As long as I can remember I’ve had chronic allergic catarrh.  It’s actually quite annoying – most people don’t think of it, but try imagining intense discomfort every time you ride an elevator or go swimming.  Not fun, and definitely inhibits me to some extent.  And the antihistamine nasal spray was almost as unpleasant as the actual catarrh itself.  I finally bit the bullet and took my mother’s advice – I started taking Omega 3.  After a month and a half, my symptoms have all but withdrawn – thanks, Omega 3!

Hair issues and Omega 3

When I hit my late forties, I started shedding a lot more hair than I was wont.  My hair started thinning.  I tried every hair product in the book to deal with the situation – shampoos, serums, conditioners…you name it, I tried it.  I tried to add protein to my diet.  Nothing seemed to help, until I heard about Omega 3 from my buddy, who happens to be a naturopath.  He suggested I give it a shot.  It’s been two months with only two Omega 3 capsules a day, and my hair is thick, glowing, and gorgeous!

Triglyceride
 

Maybe five years back my triglyceride levels shot off the charts.  Apparently my lifestyle (i.e. food and exercise) were not conducive to reasonable triglyceride levels.  My doctor put me on a number of different medications, but they just treated the symptoms.  So I started investigating my options.  I started eating more healthily, exercising regularly, and – most importantly – taking the appropriate supplements.  A daily regimen comprised of a combination of multi-vitamins and Omega 6 did the trick.  My triglycerides have been way down for years, and I’m still taking my vitamins and minerals.  I feel great!
